Yesterday I didn't blog because all I did was walk around the neighborhood with Grace. It was a crosstraining day. I really need to get a bike.
Today was 3 miles of hills workout. I actually really enjoy the hill workouts. I feel really strong as I work my way up the hills. However, things at the Martin household are always busy so between dinner (in which Ava somehow managed to completely fall head first off her chair and landing in her fajita...cheese and sour cream are hard to get out of hair!) and a "quick" trip to Target (let's admit it, trips to Target are never quick with two little ones), I was looking at a late run. And since I am still afraid of the dark, my husband volunteered to run with me.
With Grandma Karen watching the girls, Jeff and I took off. I have to admit it was pretty fun having him continually ask me to slow down. And it was especially funny when he told me he threw up in his mouth when we were crusing up a long hill! What husbands will do for their wives! The run was good and Jeff did better than I thought he would. My ankles got a little stiff and sore on the way back but other than that I feel really good. According to my ipod we averaged a 8:46 pace.
On another note, I can't believe the outpouring of support I have received already with fundraising! I gave my letters to my coaches last Wednesday evening and by Saturday I already had donations coming in! I am very blessed to have such a great group of family and friends to be my support system through all of this! Thank you all!
