Indian Run

Tonight was another Wednesday group workout. I love these workouts because you never know what you're going to be doing. Today we all ran to a neighborhood in Blue Ash and were broken into our pace groups. I was so tempted to slide over to the sub 9 group just to see if I could keep up. But I ended up staying with the 9-10 minute group. I also noticed today that some of the other members of this group had moved down to the 11-12 minute group. Anyway then we were supposed to run in a line with our group and every minute the person in the back would "surge" to the front and lead for the next minute. Somehow our group never really got the hang of this workout...well really it was just one lady. There were 6 or 7 of us in a line ( I use that word loosely since people kept clumping together and running beside each other) and the lady I mentioned was about third in line. I was last so I was the first to "surge". However when the time keeper told us to switch, I sprinted to the front only to find her sprinting to the front too! I chuckled and thought she's figure it out next time. Well about every other time she would run to the front! So it sort of messed us up and no one knew what to do. And it was a little frustrating because everyone's pace varied so much. A lot of times I felt like I was dragging and when I was in the front I felt like I couldn't run very fast because some people couldn't keep up. I'm not saying I'm super fast but I just wish that there was a pace group inbetween 9-10 and sub 9. Because I think the faster group is running closer to sub 8. Anyway, it was still fun to get out in a new area with new people and talk to catch up with friends.

Last night I worked out with resistance bands. I'm noticing improvements there as well and I'm upping my reps on some exercises. Now Grace is crying, needs fed, and put to bed. Night all!
