Tonight I ran about 5 1/2 miles. I ran around my neighborhood (1.3 miles) to warm up first. Then I ran 3 miles out on Winton Road. I was trying to keep a 8:35 min/mile pace but ended up running much faster. The first mile I ran about 7:30, the second 7:50, and the third mile I was dying and just trying to finish but still ran in about 8:15. I really need to understand how to pace myself and what each pace setting feels like. When I got home I grabbed Bella and ran around my neighborhood again to cool down. It was a good run. My ankles and shins felt fine. Thank goodness!
Oh, and yesterday I ran for 3o minutes. Easy run.
